From 9 – 5 to Successful Entrepreneur

Joe Sune was hungry from a young age. He always loved competition and fought to become the best at whatever he did. The only struggle in his early life: career. Joe had a bit of a rough start in life after graduating high school — he decided it was best to avoid the college route to pursue money and a non-sustainable party lifestyle. Floating from job to job with no clear vision in sight was a struggle. However, there was one thing that kept him from quitting it all — his drive to become the best. From furniture rentals to car sales, he would thrive in every work environment. It became clear to him that he had the skills and potential to take his an entrepreneurial route and become more than a struggling 9 – 5 employee.

The day finally arrived when he dropped everything to pursue his own business route — the home inspection/real-estate field, but he had no idea where to begin. After a full year of studying, test-taking, and trial running, he successfully created his brand: Sune Home Inspection Corp. Almost 20 years later, his business continues to thrive and his desire to be the best proceeds him as one of the best inspectors amongst South Florida communities.

It’s not an easy route to take as an entrepreneur, but Joe offers 3 pieces of advice for every aspiring entrepreneur:

1 – “Stop overthinking” – You are your biggest critic, and thinking about all of the negatives throughout your endeavor will only hold you back from your end goal.
2 – “Become the very thing you want to pursue” – If you want to become a pro baseball player, you must breathe, eat, sleep, and think about the topic every day until you reach your goal. Wanting something can only get you so far, you must have a fire in your belly that will push you past the obstacles when the times get rough.
3 – “There will be mistakes along the way” – Once you open your business or find your niche, take the thought that failure and mistakes will never happen to you out of your mind because you will reach numerous points in your life that will make you want to quit. But failure or quitting is not an option.
